GRAPHIC DESIGNING WORKSHOP

Report :

This hands-on training workshop was structured in multiple units of sessions to ensurecomprehensive and creative learning for the students.

  • Session 1: Introduction to Graphic Design
    • Overview of Graphic Design
    • Key components of design: Typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Session 2: Introduction to Design Tools
    • A detailed session on industry-standard design software (Figma).
    • Practical demonstrations on how to create basic designs, logos, and social media posts.
  • Session 3: Design Principles and Techniques
    • In-depth exploration of design principles like contrast, alignment, repetition, and proximity.
    • Application of these principles in real-world design scenarios.
  • Session 4: Hands-on Practice
    • Participants created their designs with guidance from the instructors.
    • Real-time feedback and corrections to enhance skills.
  • Session 5: Q & A and Closing
    • Open floor for questions and feedback.
    • Conclusion and sharing of additional resources for self-learning.

Strengths Of The Program :

  • Hands-on Learning: Participants engaged in practical exercises, allowing them to apply theoretical concepts immediately.
  • Expert Guidance: An experienced graphic designer facilitated the workshop, offering personalized tips and techniques to enhance the participants’ designs.
  • Creative Exploration: The interactive nature of the sessions encouraged participants to experiment with different styles and approaches to design.

 Challenges : 

A few challenges were encountered :

  • Challenge: Some participants had limited experience with design software.
    • Solution: Our club student coordinators helped them to do the basic
  • Challenge: Network issues in the initial session.
    • Solution:  Later it was resolved by sharing WIFI connection

Program Outcome : 

The Graphic Designing Workshop successfully met its objectives, providing valuable insights into the design process and equipping participants with practical skills. The event contributed to fostering creativity and inspired many participants to pursue graphic design for their Social Media profiles effectively. We look forward to organizing more workshops in the future to further support aspiring designers.

At the end of the workshop, participants were asked to provide feedback. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees praising:
