INSTITUTE INDUSTRY CELL

The Institution – Industry Cell (IIC) serves as the principal interface between the academic ecosystem of this institution and the industrial and commercial world. Its mandate is to ensure that technical education remains current, industry-relevant, and responsive to contemporary market demands. The IIC functions in full alignment with the vision of SDNB Vaishnav College for Women to enhance graduate employability, foster entrepreneurship, and promote sustained skill development

  1. Objectives of the Cell
  2. To bridge the gap between the prescribed curriculum and prevailing industry requirements through the organization of guest lectures, workshops, seminars, hands on trainings, case study analysis, industry-sponsored programmes, and skill development programmes.
  3. To facilitate Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with registered industries holding valid GST registration, for internships, industrial visits, collaborative research, projects, and skill development.
  4. To provide training and career guidance while establishing and sustaining productive linkages with industries, research and development organizations, and the start-ups.
  5. To coordinate with employers for campus recruitment, and placements.

  • Functions of the Cell

IIC shall discharge the following functions in pursuit of its stated objectives:

  1. Curriculum Input: Engaging industry experts and providing skill requirements to the BOS and Academic Council for curriculum revision.
  2. Industry Interaction Events: Planning and execution of guest lectures, expert talks, workshops, hands on training, seminars, industry academia conclaves.
  3. Capacity Building Programmes: Facilitating periodic faculty training programmes by industry collaborators.
  4. Appointment of Adjunct Faculty and Professor of Practice: Sourcing and facilitating the appointment of industry practitioners as adjunct faculty or Professors of Practice.
  5. Skill Development and Credit Earning: Organisation of industry-aligned, credit-bearing skill development programmes in collaboration with partner organizations.
  6. MoU Management: Identification of industries and formalization of MOUs, for effective industry institute interaction
  7. Internship Facilitation: Coordination of structured internship programmes for students in collaboration with partner industries.
  8. Career Development and Placement: Supporting career guidance sessions, employment readiness initiatives, placement oriented training programmes, campus recruitment drives, and placements
