Swasthya Seva

Health is the foundation on which every dream and achievement is built. At ShrimathiDevkunvarNanalal Bhatt Vaishnav College for Women, we recognize that true empowerment comes not only through education but also through well-being. Swasthya Seva was envisioned as a step toward ensuring that every member of our community—students, faculty and staff—feels supported in body, mind, and spirit. It is our way of them that when we care for our health, we also strengthen our ability to learn, grow, and lead.

Under this initiative, the Management organized a comprehensive two-day medical camp in August 2025. On 13th August, faculty members benefited from health check-ups including consultations with general physicians, diabetic check-ups, and eye examinations. The following day, on 14th August, the camp extended its services to our hostel students, many of whom live away from home, ensuring that their health and wellness were prioritized alongside their academic journey.

By reaching out to both students and staff, Swasthya Seva fostered a sense of collective care and responsibility. It ensured that no one in our community feels left behind when it comes to well-being. Moving forward, Swasthya Seva will continue to uphold the College’s commitment to health and empowerment, building a stronger and more resilient community — together.

As part of Daan Utsav 2025, the college observed two key initiatives that highlighted care, compassion and community responsibility.

On 04 October 2025, a Cervical Cancer Screening and Awareness Programme for the non-teaching staff was organized by the Management, Students’ Council and the Cancer Research and Relief Trust. Rooted in the belief that “care is the finest form of gratitude” the programme offered screening and guidance on early detection and preventive health. The Management oversaw the process with thoughtful coordination, ensuring the comfort and wellbeing of the staff.

On 08 October 2025, the Students’ Council and the National Cadet Corps conducted a Blood Donation Drive—Jeevan Daan, where students participated enthusiastically under the theme “A Step Towards Saving Lives”. The event encouraged voluntary donation and reinforced the spirit of social responsibility.

Together, these initiatives strengthened the institution’s culture of empathy, awareness and service, demonstrating that collective action can create meaningful impact.
