Scholarship
The Scholarship Committee of SDNB Vaishnav College for Women is committed to promoting access to quality education by providing financial assistance to deserving and meritorious students. The Committee ensures that scholarships from government and private bodies are identified, managed, and distributed in a fair and transparent manner to support students from both the Aided and Self-Supporting streams. By extending financial support, the Committee helps reduce economic barriers and empowers students to pursue their academic aspirations with confidence and focus.

To identify, facilitate, and manage scholarship opportunities that enable deserving students to access higher education, while ensuring transparency, equity, and accountability in the allocation process.
Objectives
- To identify eligible students for various government and private scholarships.
- To guide and assist students in the application process for scholarships.
- To ensure timely processing and disbursement of scholarship funds.
- To promote awareness about financial aid opportunities among students.
- To uphold fairness and transparency in the management and distribution of scholarships.

- Merit-Based Scholarships
- Interviews and Evaluation

- Compliance with Donor Expectations
- Communication with scholarship applicants
- Transparency in the scholarship process
- Evaluation and Monitoring of scholarship recipients
- Reporting to college administrators, donors, and relevant stakeholders on the status and impact of the scholarship program.
- Record Keeping of scholarship awards, recipients, and expenditures.
- Scholarship Renewals
The following scholarships are awarded by the Central and State Government and Private Endowments:
- Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe scholarships from Harijan Welfare Departments.
- Backward and Most Backward Classes scholarships from the Director of Backward Classes.
- The Endowment scholarship awarded from private bodies and University of Madras (75% attendance is must).
The Scholarship Committee is supporting student to access higher education by managing scholarships and ensuring that these resources are allocated in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.

Unorganized Workers Welfare Scheme.
I am Dr. Sudha, President – Chengalpattu District, along with Mrs. S. Muthulakshmi, President of the Tamil Nadu Amudham Unorganized Workers Welfare Scheme. We have been successfully running the Tamil Nadu Amudham Unorganized Workers Welfare Scheme for the past 18 years. This scheme is commonly known as “Nallavariyam.” Eligible Workers: • Construction workers (all levels) • Drivers (all categories) • Tailors • Hairdressers • Domestic workers • Shop workers • And many other unorganized sector workers Eligibility Criteria / Restrictions: • The applicant should not be registered under GST. • The applicant should not be covered under Income Tax, PF, ESI, or any registered business establishment. Age Limit: • 18 to 58 years Documents Required: • Aadhaar Card • Ration Card • Nationalised Bank Passbook • Two passport-size photographs • Driving License (mandatory for drivers) Note: All documents must belong to and be issued within the same district.
