SDNB Vaishnav College for Women proudly hosted the University of Madras Inter-Zone Women’s Football Tournament on 17 December 2025. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from four women’s teams representing various zones under the University of Madras.
The competition was conducted in a league format, ensuring equal opportunities for all teams to showcase their skills and team spirit. The matches were officiated by five nationally qualified referees, maintaining high standards of fairness, discipline, and professionalism throughout the event.

The Prize Distribution Ceremony was held at 5.30 p.m. The winning teams were honoured by the Chief Guest, Dr. V. Mahadevan, Director of Physical Education and Syndicate Member, University of Madras.
The tournament not only showcased outstanding athletic performance and sportsmanship but also highlighted the growing enthusiasm and recognition for women’s football at the inter-collegiate and national levels.
