About Faculty

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Physics from Madras Christian College and her Master’s degree in social work with a focus on the medical and psychiatry specialisation from SDNB Vaishnav College. She qualified both NET and JRF administered by NTA in December 2020. She then joined as a Sponsorship Coordinator for the My city initiative project of World Vision India. Although she is vivacious and enjoys social activities, especially helping impoverished children, Her true heart and energy are for teaching. Prior to beginning her position as an Assistant Professor at SDNBVC in April 2022, She had practical experience in the field of Social Work. As a distinguished alumna, she wants to encourage students to do their best work and prepare them for careers in social work.

About Faculty:
She did her UG in B.Sc Chemistry at SDNB Vaishnav College for Women, Chrompet, Chennai. She Completed her Masters in Social Work, specializing in Medical and Psychiatry from SDNB Vaishnav College for Women, Chrompet. She has been awarded as Rank Holder in Post Graduation. She persued her carrier as Social worker in National Cancer Registry Project by ICMR at Governemnt Stanley Hospital -Department of Oncology. After qualifying UGC-NET July 2018, She began her teaching experience as Assistant Professor in SDNB Vaishnav College, Chrompet from September 2018. She has also completed her Certificate Course in Nutrition and Child Care 2019. Her role in department includes Planning and Organising- Rural Camps, Industrial and Observation Visits, Guest Lectures, Conferences and Guiding students in their internship as internal guide.Being a Proud Alumni of the College and having passion towards teaching profession, she wants to share the knowledge and experiences she had in her own career which inturn will mould the students as a Emerging best social workers.
