About Faculty: Mrs. R Vijaya Vahini is currently working as assistant professor in PG department of food science nutrition and dietetics and Head – B.Sc Nutrition FSM & Dietetics since June 2013 in SDNB Vaishnav College for women Chromepet. She has completed her post graduation in Foods & Nutrition from Ethiraj College for women and received proficiency in the same. She is currently pursuing her part time PhD and also received first rank in entrance exam conducted by the Pondicherry University for the same. Her area of interest in teaching includes food microbiology, physiology, biochemistry and nutrition. She has presented 7 papers at national and international conferences. She has received best paper presentation award for the conference organised by Ethiraj College for women and DG Vaishnav College of arts and science. She has successfully completed Minor research programme funded by management of SDNB Vaishnav College for women in the topic “Formulation and Quality Evaluation of Millet based sports bar for adolescent sports girls”. She has published more than five papers in national and international journals.

Her Carrier started as a professional Dietitian in Hospitals have counseled therapeutic diets for more than 250 patients per day and also recommended special diets for many celebrities. Invited as Resource person in schools, colleges, village panchayats, to deliver speech regarding Nutrition in Adolescence, Brain foods, Balanced diets and Importance of traditional diets and therapeutic diets. Have demonstrated nutritious recipe for children in SUN TV-Healthy Chutti recipes. National Evaluator in IGNOU for both Undergraduation and Postgraduation. She done her research in Loyola College, affiliated to Madras University.She has total teaching and research experience over 6 years. Her areas of interest in teaching and research include all areas of crystal growth, crystallography and Nanoscience. She has PG diplomas in Computer Applications. She is a life time member in Society of Material Chemistry at BARC, Mumbai.She attended many National and International conferences, seminars, workshops etc.,and published research articles in the journals of National and International repute and completed. She was a part of duties like in graduation day Committee, Association VP.
About Faculty: Dr.Indira , completed her Ph.D in Presidency College, Madras University. She has done the research work in the area of polymer chemistry and further extended her work into nanocomposites. she presented papers in national and international conferences and published six papers in various journals.She rewarded and won prizes in three various national conferences during her Ph.D programme. She chose the teaching as her career as it is Nobel profession, worked in Stella Maris College as an assistant professor, Chennai in the year 2015. Currently she is working as an assistant professor in SDNB Vaishnav College since august 2016. A strong motivator for her students and dedicative professor. She has shown a great involvement in co-ordinating cultural activities as a smriti member in the year 2018 and also involved in department activities as an association VP in year 2018 -19.
About Faculty: Dr. T. Preethi obtained her Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai in 2017. She has strong inclination towards pursuit of knowledge and she is highly motivated and dedicated for research work. Her research work focused in the fascinating field of Heterogeneous Photocatalysis, synthesis of eco-friendly nano-structured catalysts and its application towards environmental remediation. She has joined in UGC Fellowship in Science for meritorious students (2011-2016) in Department of Chemistry, Anna University Chennai. She always took part actively in a number of critical and in depth scientific discussion. She has published seven research papers and communicated a few in the International Peer Reviewed Journals. She has presented her experimental results in many International and national conferences. She got best paper award in International conference. She has very good hands on experience in sophisticated analytical equipments. She joined PG Department of Chemistry, S.D.N.B Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai as Assistant Professor in 2017 and started her teaching career. Currently she serves as a Student Union Vice President in the institution.
About Faculty: Mrs. P.Gowthami M.Sc., M.Phil., B.Ed., SET(Chem)., M.Sc(Psy)., working as an Assistant professor in PG Department of Chemistry since June 2017 in SDNB Vaishnav College, Chennai. She cleared SET Chemistry in 2016. She is a gold medalist in Master of Philosophy in Chemistry. She completed her Post Graduate from National Institute of Technology, Trichy. Being in a Science stream, she is enthusiastically doing Post Graduate in Psychology as well as Diploma in Education. She started her teaching career from 2012 onwards. She has enriched her knowledge by attending workshop, seminar and conferences. She has published a paper in Indian journal. She is a smart worker than hard worker. Her area of interests in Group Theory and Quantum Chemistry, Organic Spectroscopy and Organometallic Chemistry. She has always encouraged and motivates the students to actively participate in studies as well as in department activities.
