The PG Department of Accounting and Finance  provides a robust and modern infrastructure to effectively support advanced learning in finance, accounting, taxation, economics, and business studies. The academic infrastructure  includes well-furnished classrooms equipped with projectors, and audio-visual systems to facilitate interactive learning.

Computer laboratories with high-speed internet and the latest licensed software tools such as Excel, SPSS, and Python support data analysis, statistical modeling, and research work. The central library plays a critical role by offering a comprehensive collection of textbooks, reference materials, and academic journals, along with subscriptions to digital databases such as JSTOR, EBSCO, ProQuest, and CMIE Prowess. These resources are vital for coursework, thesis writing, and ongoing research. Access to accounting software such as Tally, Coursera provides hands-on training that bridges academic knowledge with practical industry skills. Well equipped Seminar and conference halls with modern AV facilities are  given for hosting guest lectures, panel discussions, and workshops, offering students regular exposure to industry experts and contemporary issues in commerce and finance  field .

Academic Offerings

The PG Department of Accounting and Finance is  designed to provide advanced knowledge and specialized training in the fields of commerce, finance, accounting , taxation, and business management. The academic offerings of the  program typically include a blend of core subjects, elective courses with courses(online global certification platform), NPTEL,SWAYAM,Skill Development courses as practical components tailored to equip students with both theoretical understanding and applied skills. Core subjects often cover areas such as Advanced Corporate Accounting, Quantitative techniques, Strategic Cost Management, Business Finance, Business Analytics with Python,Income Tax and GST. These courses build a strong foundation in financial decision-making, regulatory compliance, and strategic business planning.

In addition to core subjects, students can choose from a range of elective specializations, such as Accounting and Taxation, Banking and Finance, International Business, E-Commerce, Insurance and Risk Management, and Human Resource Management, allowing them to align their academic focus with career goals. Our program also includes project work, dissertations, case studies, and internships as integral parts of the curriculum, encouraging students to engage in real-world problem-solving and research. The program may also incorporate industry-relevant tools such as Tally, Excel, SPSS, and exposure to financial markets and statistical modeling.

Our Department enhances the academic offerings with our institutional support on micro credentials certifications in Coursera , NPTEL, SWAYAM platform in areas like GST, Financial modeling, Data analytics, Digital marketing, and Investment analysis. Our department focuses  to prepare students for competitive exams like UGC-NET, CA, CMA  and  CFA with our institutional support.

Placement Details

The Department had a  placement record of 60% of the total strength have placed in Leading corporates such as Accenture, TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, CTS, Dell, Virtusa, Maverick,MCKINSEY,Guide house training, Deloitte and banking sector and 10% of the strength have cleared their UGC NET and working as Assistant Professor and few students  are doing their higher studies like Ph.D in top premiere institutes like IIT and Universities.  .The Department  encourages and motivates  a range of preparatory activities including aptitude tests, group discussions, mock and technical interviews, soft skills training, and resume workshops Careers360., among others, regularly participate in the campus recruitment process through our institution.

Financial support for Journal publication and FDP participation. Invited talks  from Alumni and Industrial experts. Classes are taught in Flipped Class Concept method for all subjects.
