Established in 2018, the Department of Commerce (Self-Financing Stream) has continuously expanded to meet the increasing demand for quality commerce education through its B.Com (Banking & Insurance Management) programme.

The department provides a conducive learning environment with smart classrooms, a dedicated computer laboratory equipped with updated accounting software such as Tally ERP and  SPSS, campus-wide Wi-Fi connectivity, and a comprehensive library with books, journals, and e-resources.

Skill Enhancement through Add-On and Certificate Courses

To improve employability and career preparedness, students are offered value-added programmes in areas such as GST, Digital Marketing, and Investment Banking.

B.Com (BIM) offers one month of free Bank coaching from Time Institute to support students in enhancing their academic performance and skill development.

  • Our student Sri Ranjani M secured Second Place in Handball at the CM Trophy 2024 and 2025, Third Place in the Intercollegiate Handball Match held at New Prince Engineering College, Third Place at Prince Venkateswara, and Second Place in Diva Dance during the respective academic years.
  • Our student Rohini G successfully cleared the TNPSC Group IV Examination 2025.
