  • M. Bhuvaneswari, Assistant Professor, Head, Department of Sanskrit, gave a special lecture with Power point presentation on 11.01.2024 at Justice Basheer Ahmed College for Women on the topic “Bhasa- The Sanskrit Dramatist”
  • M. Bhuvaneswari, Assistant Professor, Head, Department of Sanskrit, was a Resource Person presented an Online power point presentation in the Five Days National Level Virtual Faculty Development Program on the topic “Tools and techniques in Language Teaching on the session- Content & Language Integrated Learning” organized by IQAC & the Department of Languages on 20th February 2025.
  • Sugantha, Assistant Professor in the Department of Sanskrit, presented a paper titled “Siege of the Fort: According to Arthashastra” on 23rd November 2024 at the Two-Day National Seminar on Vedangas and Upavedas, jointly organized by the Sanskrit Academy, Madras, and the KuppuswamiShastri Research Institute.
  • Sugantha, Assistant Professor, Department of Sanskrit (SFS), presented a paper titled “A Detailed Analysis of Research Strategies in Sanskrit Literary Studies” on 29th December 2024 at the Two-Day National Seminar on “संस्कृतवाङ्मयेशोधप्रविधिविमर्शः” – Methodology of Research in Sanskrit, sponsored by the Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, and organized by The Madras Sanskrit College, Mylapore, Chennai.
  • Sugantha, Assistant Professor, Department of Sanskrit (SFS), presented a paper titled “Sandhi in JānakiParinayaNāṭaka – An Analytical Study” on 14th February 2025 at the Two-Day National Seminar on Sanskrit Drama, jointly organized by The Samskrita Academy, Madras, and The KuppuswamiSastri Research Institute, held at The Madras Sanskrit College, Mylapore, Chennai.

STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENTS 2024-25

The Department of Sanskrit (SFS) proudly applauds the remarkable achievements of its students who excelled in various intercollegiate competitions hosted by reputed institutions.

  • Gayathri of CND secured the II Prize in the Vishnusahasranama Recitation competition conducted by MGR Janaki College for Women. Shrividhya S and Malvitha R of B.Sc. Visual Communication, along with Gayathri S of B.Sc. CND, actively participated and showcased commendable performance in events conducted by Ethiraj College for Women, where Gayathri S further won the III Prize in the Shipwreck
  • Akshara S of B.Com A&F brought laurels to the department by winning the III Prize in SAREGAMA conducted by M.O.P. Vaishnav College, while Gayathri S of B.Sc. CND secured the II Prize in the Quiz competition at the same institution.
  • Keerthana of B.Sc. Computer Science and Dhanavarshini of B.Com A&F both earned the II Prize in the Paper Presentation competition held at Sri KanyakaParameswari Arts & Science College for Women. In the same event, Gayathri S of B.Sc. CND also achieved the II Prize for her paper.
  • Students excelled creatively as well—Aishwarya J (B.Sc. Visual Communication), Shobica S R (B.Sc. Visual Communication), and Aarthi (B.Com) each won the II Prize in the Comic Strip competition hosted by Shri ShankarlalSundarbai Jain College for Women. In the Conversation competition conducted by the same college, Nirmala of B.Sc. CND and Gayathri S of B.Sc. CND both secured the I Prize.
  • In artistic expression, Bhaviya R of B.Com A&F received a Consolation Prize in the Collage competition held at Anna Adarsh College for Women. Gayathri S also gained recognition for her participation in Pictionary and Crossword events conducted by JBAS College. Furthermore, she delivered an Exceptional Performance in the Paper Presentation event conducted by SamskruthaBharathi.
