The Department of B.Com (Professional Accounting), launched in 2019, was the first of its kind under the University of Madras, setting a new benchmark in accounting education. The curriculum integrates CA and CMA Intermediate levels, offering CA coaching in collaboration with JK Shah Classes, giving students a competitive edge.

A one-month internship provides hands-on industry experience, bridging the gap between academics and professional practice. The program covers CA Foundation subjects in the first year and CA Intermediate subjects in the second and third years.

Guest lectures and industry talks keep students updated on accounting trends and practical applications. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in auditing, taxation, financial analysis, and corporate accounting, with opportunities as Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants, Financial Consultants, and Tax Advisors.
