The Department of English was established in 1970 and functions with verve and enthusiasm. Due to the increasing demand for the course, M.A. English was started in 2013 (Self- finance). The Department was upgraded to Research Department in 2020 and offering Full-time/Part-time Ph.D. programme. BA English (SFS) was started in 2021. The Department endeavors to prepare students for the future by inculcating an interest to learn the nuances of the English language through practice of LSRW skills.
